Metro 2® file is a data specification created by the CDIA (Consumer Data Industry Association) for credit reporting data furnishers to report consumers’ credit history information to major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion, Innovis).
Access to the Metro 2® Format is limited to employees of –
- Companies that furnish data to consumer reporting agencies in the Metro 2® Format.
- Data processors who furnish data to consumer reporting agencies in the Metro 2® Format.
- Software vendors who provide Metro 2® programming software.
- Consumer reporting agencies that accept or transmit data in the Metro 2® Format.
